What types of applications are suitable for Rubflo rubber flooring solutions?
Rubflo rubber flooring solutions are designed for a wide range of applications, including playgrounds, sports courts, running tracks, gym facilities, water parks, poolside areas and other recreational environments.
What running track system is suitable for my project?
The appropriate system depends on the facility type, expected usage, performance requirements, site conditions, drainage, budget, and construction schedule. Rubflo would be happy to help compare spray-coated, sandwich, permeable, full-PU, and prefabricated systems.
What materials are required for a running track system?
Material requirements vary by system structure. A project may require EPDM granules, SBR rubber granules, PU binder, primer, sealing materials, surface coatings, and line-marking paint.
Can running track colors be customized?
Yes. EPDM granules are available in a wide range of standard and custom colors. Color selection can be coordinated with school branding, stadium identity, lane designs, and surrounding architecture.
How thick should a sports court surface be?
The appropriate thickness depends on the sport, substrate condition, cushioning requirements, usage intensity, and project specifications. Rubflo Silicon PU court systems are available in 3–5 mm thicknesses, with the final system configuration selected according to the requirements of each project.
How do I maintain a sports court surface?
Routine sweeping and cleaning help remove dust, leaves, and surface contamination. Heavy objects, sharp equipment, standing water, and unsuitable chemicals should be avoided. Periodic inspection can also identify localized wear or damage before more extensive repairs are required.
What sports can Rubflo court systems be used for?
Rubflo sports court systems can be configured for basketball, tennis, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, multi-sport courts, and other recreational or school sports areas.
What substrate is required for a sports court system?
Sports court systems are commonly installed over properly prepared concrete or asphalt substrates. The base should be stable, level, clean, and suitable for the selected system. Existing surface conditions should be evaluated before installation.
What materials can be used for playground surfacing?
Rubflo playground systems can combine an EPDM wearing layer with cushioning materials such as ETPU or SBR, depending on the required system structure, impact performance, thickness and project budget.
Do you have test reports for playground safety and material compliance?
Yes. Depending on the selected material and playground surface system, Rubflo can provide relevant test and compliance documentation for project review, including standards such as EN 1177 for impact attenuation and Critical Fall Height, ASTM F1292 for playground surface impact performance, EN 71-3 for migration of certain elements, and applicable REACH requirements for restricted substances.
Can playground colors be customized?
Yes. Projects can use standard EPDM colors, coordinated color combinations and project-specific palettes. Colors can be planned for activity zoning, pathways, themed areas, 2D graphics, 3D elements, school colors and other visual identity requirements.
How much EPDM, cushioning material and PU binder will my project need?
Material quantities depend on the surface area, layer thickness, system structure and material density. Provide the playground dimensions and proposed layer build-up, and Rubflo can help calculate the required quantities of EPDM granules, cushioning materials and PU binder before ordering.
