Home » FAQs
What standards can Rubflo artificial turf meet?
Available turf options can be matched to different sports performance and material safety requirements. Specific standards, certificates and test reports can be confirmed according to the turf type and project.
What particle size of SBR rubber granules should I choose?
The right size depends on the application and system structure. Share your project use with Rubflo, and our team can recommend a suitable particle size.
Can SBR granules be used for both artificial turf and elastic base layers?
Yes. SBR can be used as performance infill between artificial turf fibers or combined with PU binder to form a resilient elastic layer beneath turf or wet-pour surfaces.
How does Rubflo support projects affected by EU 2023/2055?
Rubflo can support end-use assessment and provide relevant technical documentation, use and disposal guidance, and artificial turf-specific application guidance.
Are test reports available for Rubflo SBR granules?
Yes. Relevant product and compliance documents, including available PAH and heavy-metal test reports, can be provided for project review.
Can I request an SBR sample before ordering?
Yes. Product samples are available for material evaluation before bulk ordering.
What is included in an EPDM flooring system?
A typical wet-pour EPDM flooring system includes a prepared concrete or asphalt base, primer or sealer, an optional elastic layer, and a colored EPDM wearing course bonded with polyurethane binder. Edge finishing, joints and curing requirements are also planned as part of the complete system.
Can damaged EPDM flooring be repaired?
Localized damage can generally be repaired by removing the affected area and installing compatible replacement material. The repair method should be selected according to the condition of the existing surface and the original system structure.
Does every EPDM flooring system require an SBR base laver?
No. An elastic or cushioning base layer is used only where the project requires additional resilience, impact attenuation or system thickness. The appropriate layer structure and material should be selected according to the application and project requirements.
When can a newly installed EPDM surface be opened for use?
The installation area should remain closed until the flooring system has fully cured. Actual curing conditions depend on the selected PU binder, environmental conditions and system structure, so the relevant technical instructions should always be followed.
What types of bases can EPDM wet-pour flooring be installed over?
Wet-pour EPDM flooring is commonly installed over properly prepared concrete or asphalt bases. The substrate should be sound, level, dry and clean, with loose material, oil contamination, hollow areas and other defects corrected before installation.
Can rubber tiles be used outdoors?
Some rubber tile and mat products can be used for outdoor applications. Outdoor installations should consider factors such as UV exposure, drainage, temperature changes, moisture and expected usage intensity. Rubflo can recommend suitable rubber flooring solutions based on the specific requirements of each project.
